As I graduated number seven in my class, I was always a go-getter and an overachiever, especially within my field of study. Over the past 15 years, I have managed to earn a BA in Speech, an MA in Communications and over 10 years collective teaching experience at the high school, undergraduate, and graduate levels. I believe in using the differentiated approach to teaching--based upon the seven intelligences. I plan for all lessons being taught, and state the objectives on the board for each lesson. I present the lesson, allowing the students to interact and respond by activating prior knowledge, discussing points and inviting them to ask questions. I like to interject related activities at 20-30 minute intervals to keep their interest up. I also like to provide centering and closing activities.

Over the course of my career, I have taught a wide variety of courses for age groups K-12 which include: English, math, history, geography and English as a second language.
