I employ a personalized teaching style, very interactive. Instead of just answering a question or stating why something is the way it is, we'll work it out so there is real understanding, not just memorization of facts (which will ultimately be forgotten and thus a waste of time.) The focus is more on the method of solving the given problem rather than just the end result whenever possible. I learned how to play chess about twenty years ago, it's been rather on and off since then.
