My comments on tutoring ADD/ADHD : I am not classroom trained in this field, nor do i have a psychology degree, and i cant prescribe any medicine. i am twenty years old and have been living with adhd since i was born. I know what it feels like and have trained myself to focus and fit in to society, and i know what its like and the best ways to overcome it and have a positive outlook. i just wish when i was a kid i had someone who had known what it was like, instead of Doctors, taking their best guess at what i feel like

I have always been a hands on learner, so that is mostly the way i portray my lessons, by doing, instead of readin. However i also see the need in having to sit down and Get to work, because some thing are better learned on paper
i am just a twenty year old college student, Who has learned a lot in this world, and looking to pass it on to whomever it might effect. Very caring, musical, and a great people person. Hey! My names Bethy! I'm 13 years old and in 8th grade. I've been tutoring since I was in 5th grade. I can tutor all ages in almost any subject. Last year I had the highest GPA in my whole school! A Little Bit About Me...

I was more of an instructor than a teacher. I was a day camp counselor at Solway House parent/child resort in Saugerties N.Y. I instructed kids how to swim, dive, play various sports and gave dancing lessons to the guests. As a high school student I tutored 7th and 8th graders in an after school community center. I was one of a few staff at the University of Connecticut to instruct graduates and staff in the use of the various electronic facilites available to them.
I feel children are very self-aware and are very vulnerable to positive and negative feedback. Therefore, no matter how little progress is made, praise them.
