My comments on tutoring ADD/ADHD : I am not classroom trained in this field, nor do i have a psychology degree, and i cant prescribe any medicine. i am twenty years old and have been living with adhd since i was born. A Little Bit About Me...

I was more of an instructor than a teacher. I was a day camp counselor at Solway House parent/child resort in Saugerties N.Y. I instructed kids how to swim, dive, play various sports and gave dancing lessons to the guests. As a high school student I tutored 7th and 8th graders in an after school community center. I was one of a few staff at the University of Connecticut to instruct graduates and staff in the use of the various electronic facilites available to them.
I feel children are very self-aware and are very vulnerable to positive and negative feedback. Therefore, no matter how little progress is made, praise them.
