I think that it is important to find the types of learning that each student finds easiest to understand, and tailor the course so that it works well with their particular learning abilities. This can easily be done in a classroom setting as well as an individual basis. In either case, while I am teaching I think that it is important to understand the topic we are on before moving to the next one. I was first employed as instructor by Honeywell Aerospace (Phoenix) where I taught clients how to use various avionics and navigation systems for business jets. I did that for 5 years. The job required flexibility giving 1-on-1 as well as large-audience, seminar-type technical training. Later I worked as a simulator instructor at Simuflite (Dallas) teaching and certifying people how to fly business jets. I also have extensive experience writing/editing pilot manuals for various avionics systems.
