My comments on tutoring Shakespeare : I have taught a variety of Shakespeare's plays in the classroom.

I am a teacher with 7 years of classroom experience. My degree is in English, but I have taught in many other areas, including math, history, logic, and rhetoric. I have also tutored many students in grammar and writing, as well as Algebra I and II. I have been responsible for teaching books to students from American Literature (Hawthorne and Hemingway), European Literature (Dickens and Shakespeare), and World Literature (Gilgamesh and Homer).
I prefer the Socratic method of asking/answering questions and discussion, but I am more than capable of diverting to a more lecture style of teaching if that is what works with the student. I tailor my teaching style to the strengths of the student.

A Little Bit About Me...

As both a teacher and a counselor I have worked to develop a teaching style that is student focused. In order to do that I want to inspire and challenge the student to reveal their abilities and interests and track them as they develop. The student and I will set specific goal areas with attainable steps, so that we can both check the progress. I began my teaching experience in childhood. My favorite game was school and I would always be the teacher or preacher when we played church,my other favorite game. I grew up went to college and received an Associates in liberal arts, a Bachelor's with a double major of English and Psychology and Master's in Education with certifications to teach both English and Psychology for grades 7-12 in the state of Michigan.
