Creative Writing is one of my top subjects!

I have more than 10 years teaching experience. During this time I have taught at universities, public and private schools. The subject taught most often was English language and all its components i.e. reading, writing etc. I have also had four (4) English language workbooks published by Pearson-Longman, one of which has been adopted in some private schools. My comments on tutoring Creative Writing : I have taught creative writing in the classroom for 5 years.

I prefer the Socratic method of asking/answering questions and discussion, but I am more than capable of diverting to a more lecture style of teaching if that is what works with the student. I tailor my teaching style to the strengths of the student.
I am a teacher with 7 years of classroom experience. My degree is in English, but I have taught in many other areas, including math, history, logic, and rhetoric. I have also tutored many students in grammar and writing, as well as Algebra I and II. After high school I achieved a BS from George Peabody College for teacher, however did not teach for money until many years later after I received my MS. My work in clinical psychology has been mostly with children, the severely mentally ill, and abuse cases. My last full time position was teaching high school material in a one room school to students who were wards of the state. I taught anger management for the local courts for eight years. A Little Bit About Me...

As both salutitorian of my high school graduating class, and a Chancellor Scholar at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, I have the drive, determination, and know how to succeed on any academic playing field and compete with the best of the best. I have a BS in Elementary Education with an emphasis in music.
