First, I substituted and then taught part-time, two to four subjects a year: Advanced Math and Drama, 5 years; Biology, 1 year; and Advanced Drama, 3 years. When my son started seventh grade, I began homeschooling. In reality, I have been tutoring almost since I could read or write. The first tutoring job I held was in elementary school. After graduating from elementary school, I did my first two years of secondary education via home-school and stayed at our small, two-room elementary school in order to help the younger students. During my senior year of academy, I served as a Resident Assistant and Dormitory Tutor. As a UCR graduate, I have been devoted to acquiring and developing my skills acquired during school. I earned a BA degree in Political Science which has enabled me to gain experience in the way the government works, and also further developed my writing, reading and analytical skills.
