I like teaching by giving real life examples and creating hands-on situations. One of the most beneficial things that I have found in helping students is to give a variety of examples and offer different ways of explaining things. Another important thing, especially with math, is the ability to be patient.
I recently graduated the University of Nevada, Reno with a degree in Secondary Math Eduation. I just completed my semester of internship in high school mathematics. Upon matriculation at Colby, I enrolled in organic chemistry and decided to major in chemistry. I continued my studies in chemistry and additional areas of interest, including math, government, and economics. Before graduating I participated in an NSF-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates at UC Riverside.
