My comments on tutoring Earth Science : Earth Sciences includes: Physical Geography and Geology, Geology is one of my two majors.

I like students to understand how the material they are learning can and is being applied to everyday situations. So I often will talk about the big topics that have been covered explain why they are useful and then show the student how to perform various calculations or apply the nessecary logic to solve problems.
I am a Mechanical Engineering and Geology dual major with a 3.6 GPA. I understand mathematics very well and have tutored fellow students in math and physics, successfully for years. I have experience tutoring individuals with ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, and those who simply do not understand the work. For the past 4 years I have tutored students in all subjects in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Also, I have a child who is ADHD with whom I assist while doing homework. I have worked with children since I was 13. I have worked in settings where I was a daycare worker, a nanny, and a substitute teacher.
