Literally all my life I have been asked by students, parents and teachers to help students who were having trouble. I get tremendous fulfillment from watching someone who has been frustrated finally "get it." In addition to teaching music lessons, tutoring all subjects, and homeschooling my own two children, I have worked for the last 17 years with a private school. There I have taught a wide variety of subjects, but they depend on me the most heavily for high school sciences and maths. Through high school and college, I have always excelled in academics. I received a 3 or better on multiple AP classes through high school: AP Spanish, AP Biology, AP Statistics and AP Calculus AB. I was given college credits for those classes, but also completed many other classes at the University of Florida, including: Writing about Literature, Astronomy, Physical Geography, Math for LS Majors, Educational Psychology, Classroom Reading, American Literature, and Introduction to Philosophy. I love seeing people understand something once I explain it to them in a way that they can understand it. I also love working with kids and teenagers because I believe that if we have a positive influence on young people they will grow up to be the leaders that our nation needs.
