I started tutoring in high school for extra credit. I have primarily tutored in mathematics and general chemistry! I tutored a girl in Algebra 1 for a year, helped my best friend and her Mom with college mathematics, and worked through college algebra with my husband. In college I was a teachers assistant for general chemistry 1 and tutored in quantitative chemical analysis. Since then I have tutored a gentlemen for the math portion of his GED. My comments on tutoring Algebra II : I am taking technical math in college. Algebra knowledge is required for technical math.

I prefer teaching my students to speak first. Once the student is fluent in Spanish, reading, and writing is taught. I emphasize conversational speaking a lot. That is what will get the student to lose the fear, and become fluent. Speaking a language is all about confidence. I consider myself a good leader. I was class president for three years in high school. I was the captain of the football team, and I have always taught by example. Example is the best teacher and the best motivator. In terms of online tutoring. I make use of a headset microphone and a touch tablet. As well as many free online applications, such as a whiteboard, Skype, and educational resources.
