My comments on tutoring Entrance Exams : Exams all come down to prep and organization!

I obtained a B.S. in Biology, with a concentration in aquatic science, from Wittenberg University in 2006. During my undergraduate studies, I tutored elementary students in math and science twice a week for two years. After college, I moved into the marine science profession. In August of 2008, I started teaching High School Biology I, Earth and Space Science, and Physical Science to students in Polk County. In addition, after school hours were spent with two students taking AP Biology classes. Both students achieved a 4 or higher on their placement exams. In an evaluation after an observation of one of my history classes, a colleague of mine quoted that "it was evident from the beginning that the students were at ease, and yet extremely focused." My teaching style reflects the attitude that students must be comfortable in their surroundings first in order to be able to focus their energies for the day's work. Since neither of my parents graduated from college, I value education very much. They taught me to always strive for a high level of excellence in academics. I took it to heart and since have been an A student. I graduated from Olympia high school in 2005 with only one B and the rest A’s. While in high school I took any advanced placement classes related to math such as economics, accounting, calculus, physics and chemistry.
