As a student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo I was interested in English education, especially in terms of helping students improving their reading and writing skills. I followed this interest by tutoring at the university writing lab, as well as doing frequent one-on-one tutor sessions with students in need. Living with a disability has posed more challenges in my education than the average person, yet I have faced these challenges and overcome them. I earned my bachelor degree in social welfare in three years and I recently obtained my graduate degree in criminology, law, & society - both from the University of California. A Little Bit About Me...

I double majored in Biology and English with a Bachelor of Science degree from a very well known, highly esteemed University in Wisconsin. I went to Taiwan for two months from March-May 2010 and helped teach in a "Bushiban" or cram school to kids aged 6-15. I am currently looking for a full-time job relating to my degree.
Conversational. From what I learned in Taiwan little kids are not for me. This is the truth. Kids at about 14 or 15 and older are much preferred. I don't think I am animated enough for younger children...well, not a GROUP of younger children anyway. When it comes to one on one though, it is much different I am sure. I like to give ideas on how to sound out words, remember grammar/math tricks and things like that.

A Little Bit About Me...

As ambitious a student in the classroom as in life I have completed over 180 college credits at age 24. With a preference in sciences most of these credits were completed however my interest expands far beyond the realm into most every subject. Proof of this is shown by the length of my undergraduate work, six years with enlightening pauses in between to broaden my mind through travel.
