I then attended an amazing middle school, where I became Student Body President, captain of the cheerleading team, and All A's student for all 3 years. There, I received the highest achievement a student can receive for all 3 years. In high school, I played varsity volleyball for 3 years, was captain for 2, and received MANY honors and awards for my talent in the sport. Teaching to me is about how to engage the student. The material that is prepared for daily lessons can be nothing more than just words to some students. The instructor must become one with the student and understand them on their level. Once you can see eye to eye with your students, then you can begin to help them learn and grow. I learn right along with my students, gaining interpersonal skills from every student. The student's feedback and honesty helps me as an instructor meet the needs of future students. Students are the backbone of the future and their strength comes from how you teach them to see themselves in the world making a difference. Knowledge is a tool and as with all tools you have to show the student how use it and make it work for them.
