I have a reading endorsement on my Georgia teaching certificate. I have taught English at the high school level for 33 years, both in public and private school. Currently, I am an instructor for a GED class. I team taught with a special education teacher for several years and encouraged the private school where I taught to hire a special education teacher at the high school level. I have taught all levels of English, from vocational English to low level students to honors students. Sometimes one of the steps may have to be repeated, but this process really works well. I have tutored my friend's daughter in math and English.
