For some children, some subjects are hard to understand. Children can get frustrated just by not being able to understand the subject matter. My approach is to alleviate that frustration by going through the steps slowly and demonstrating these steps several times. During my junior and senior year in college, I TA’ed a finance class called options pricing for two semesters. Options pricing was a difficult subject. I worked very hard to receive an A- for the course, which turned out to be my favor. I had insight to the intellectual hurdles other students had to overcome to master the material.
