Help With Regents Math/Science

Hello! Is your child struggling with the math and science Regents exams? If so, perhaps I can be of help. I am just getting back into the tutoring scene after being on hiatus for a few years to develop my professional career. I graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2013 (current age: 28) with a degree in Chemical Engineering, and by day, I currently work as an industrial engineer in the Horseheads-Elmira area. I like children to learn through exploring. This is not to say that I do not teach, but I plan lessons in a way that allows students to learn at their own pace. I feel like if I can put together a lesson that gives children a motivation to learn, they will learn on a deeper level than if I am merely telling them information. With my middle school math students whom I tutored, this meant that we learned about fractions through art. It was not enough to explain to them how fractions worked, I realized that they needed to experience fractions. I feel as though every student will have their own niche. They will have a special subject that they enjoy the most and one that they despise. I think that figuring out how the child studies for the subject they enjoy will lead to an understanding of how to motivate that student to learn the subjects that are more difficult for them. Also, if the student's teacher stays positive and pushes him or her towards success by means of positive reinforcement they will succeed.
While studying at SUNY ESF I held a position as a teaching assistant for Western Civilization.
