After graduating with a degree in history as well as with completion of pre-medical requirements I started tutoring students grades k-12 as well as college students in math, science, english and reading. After college I completed 2 years of FAA flight training and began teaching ground and flight instruction for all levels of pilot training (including aerobatics), which has allowed me to hone my teaching skills working with so many different age groups, personalities and cultural backgrounds. I have a Bachelor's degree in accounting and many years of accounting experience. I also have knowledge of computer programming with html, css, javascript, php, and mysql. Communication has always been an interest of mine so I pursued a journalism degree and spent many hours in education to be an adept communicator through the written word. If necessary, I separate an idea into simpler terms, and help students learn each term before continuing. I give examples which illustrate a point or demonstrate a procedure. At times, my students write short essays, which I critique for sentence structure, word choice, tense matching, and organization.
