A Little Bit About Me...

During my graduate program at SIU, I become a teaching assistant and fell in love with teaching. I taught undergraduate laboratory in microbiology and bacteriology to undergraduate students. I have earned a bachelor's in Biology from Augustana and am finishing writing my thesis to obtain my Master's in Biological Sciences from SIU. Since I have written and critiqued my thesis, research papers, lab reports, and other science papers, I have gained much knowledge in grammar. I currently substitute teach and tutor a few students in physical science and chemistry. During my undergraduate program, I studied more than just biology. I took general chemistry, organic chemistry, and physics so I have a wide range of knowledge in the science field.

I am a student that has a drive of excellence. I graduated from Northern Ill. Univ in 2010, as cum laude. I hold a B.S. in BioChemistry. I have experience as a tutor, which I obtained while as a student at NIU. I would tutor other students with in the chemistry, math, and biology departments.
I love teaching. I us a guiding method of teaching. Because I believe that students learn the most when they do the work themselves, but sometimes they need someone there to motivate them or to guide them in the right direction. I feel this works in group studies also, but, the difference being is that all the student will be involved in a group discussion.
