Life Science is one of my top subjects!

I prefer to teach with open dialogue. Feedback and discussion is one of the most solid methods for evaluating comprehension. If I see that subject comprehension is lacking or missing, it is my challenge to re-present the material for the student (as many times as it takes!).

I think it takes a lot for one teacher to reach all of types of students who are all at different levels of interest in the subject being taught as well as at different levels of understanding. While going to college for my education degree, I taught preschool for 5 and 1/2 years before my semester of student teaching in Kindergarten before graduation. A few months after receiving my BA and Teaching Certificate, I began teaching preschool again and have substituted middle school some as well. I have also held a Child Development Associate while teaching preschool.
I truly enjoy teaching children. Each child is different and learn in different ways, so I use the teaching types to make sure each child is learning the best way they can. I believe children learn the most through hands-on activities and through play. That way the student can discover many ways to learn and understand fundamentals of their teachings.
