A Little Bit About Me...

As a certified teacher I taught for 3 years in inner city Phoenix. I worked with diverse cultures needing strong literary support. A self written curriculum designed includes strong phonics, vocabulary, reading and grammar. 2 years experience as a tutor for the AZ Dept. of Ed. for Math and Language Arts for 8-12th . A Little Bit About Me...

As someone who loves history I discovered my passion for helping others understand history. Because of this love I pursued a degree in museum studies. I have over 6 years experience in volunteering my time at history museums in order to educate today's youth about the past.
My teaching style is to draw connections to what the students are trying to learn with what is happening today that they might be interested. I have currently completed 161 credits at Fredonia State. I am 18 credits away from being a certified teacher k-8 with a concentration is History. I have complete EDU 250 Intro to exceptional learner where I tutored a 2nd grader in reading. In this I had to create lesson plans and in the end the student improved from 5 words per minute to 25 words a minute, I received and A in the class. I also work at a before and after school program in Fredonia where I am always helping students in grades k-6 with homework.
