In 1995, I began my official tutoring odyssey by assisting my classmates in AP Calculus. Every day during lunch I spent my half-hour helping my fellow high school seniors succeed, ultimately achieving a 4/5 on the AP exam and guiding others to similar grades. Since those days I have tutored in-home and taught mathematics at the private secondary school level, fostering student knowledge of various concepts from arithmetic to calculus. My degree, my passion, is mathematics.
My students often say I can’t be a teacher because they “just get it" when I explain. Even so, my degree is in math and I've taught professionally and privately. Obtaining my Bachelors and Masters from a prestigious university has provided me with not only a pertinent educational background but also a great appreciation for the importance of education. The courses I taught at Rutgers University and my current teaching position at IADT have provided me with invaluable experience in being able to work with a diverse group of students with different learning styles.
