My name is Constance and I learned to speak and write Spanish while living for seven years in Buenos Aires Argentina. I loved learning a second language and look forward to passing on my skills to meet your needs. I currently work for the developmentally disabled for Montgomery County Board of DD Monday through Friday. I would be available to teach in the afternoons or on Saturdays.

A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy working with children of all ages. I have a son with a learning disability whom I am now home-schooling. I realize that patience is key when teaching. However, I also feel that children do best when they are presented with a challenge. I use a great deal of encouragement and incentive to help a child achieve his/her goals. I believe you are never too young or too old to learn something new.
I grew up in Texas and attended Abilene Christian University for four years. This also included two summers in Mexico. I lack only one semester completing my BA in Spanish. I have spent 4 years as a Spanish teacher and the past two years as a substitute teacher while working on my master's degree in Special Education. I have had many experiences with many different levels of learners both as a Spanish teacher and as a sub. Subbing has given me the opportunity to work with kids K-12 in a variety of different learning levels and subject areas. I try to get most of my sub days in special education classrooms to ready myself for my upcoming start to a new career.
