Being a current student myself, I can appreciate the hardships and struggles of education. I feel that you must always level with your students, no matter what the age. The students are the ones who must lead the class. However, we as educators have a duty to guide and to nourish this idea. I truly love the field of education. I recognize that all students learn in different ways. I know certain teaching methods work for some students and not others. It is important to teach in several different styles. I have earned my Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with an emphasis in Elementary Education. During my undergraduate studies, I was a substitute teacher for Delaware Community Schools in Muncie, IN. I have also tutored at Huntington Learning Center. I love working with children and teaching them new things. I have worked with many children of all ages in different areas from math, english, and history and helped them be successful. I believe it is important for children to learn and understand what they are studying to be successful. While I was working on my Bachelors degree I worked at the college as an accountant.
