My comments on tutoring Piano : I enjoy playing the piano and singing and have taken lessons since I was 7.

I am a "kid-at-heart" who has a passion for helping other learn and succeed. I enjoy foreign languages and I want to share my enthusiasm with others. By traveling often, I remain enthusiastic about the subjects I study. Over the past 4 years especially, I have spent many weeks in Germany and France and have fallen in love with the people and their culture. I enjoy finding short stories and comics that help others better understand and learn the language. I also have many supplies from abroad, such as books and DVDs. If I did not major in foreign languages, I would have also enjoyed getting my degree in math education. I like math because I find security in knowing that there is always a right answer. I enjoy seeing children learn new things. I know that every child learns differently. It is important to get to know the children that you are teaching and figure out what teaching technique fits there needs. I feel like I do an excellent job of portraying what I am trying to teach.
I have always loved children. Children are precious and all have very unique learning techniques. When I was a senior at Maryville High School, I taught Spanish to first graders. My partner and I were in charge of making lesson plans and fulfilling these plans for each class. I really enjoyed seeing the children get excited about learning.

I strive for efficiency in teaching style, but I realize the importance of studying each student to see what motivates each one to take the next step closer to the goal. It is not enough for me to simply disseminate information. I believe it is vital that the student understands what she or he needs to know.
