I am well trained and experienced mathematics tutor. I have a Master’s degree in Statistics and Actuarial Science from Illinois State University. I received my Bachelor’s in Mathematics at the State University of New York at Old Westbury. I have worked as a Graduate Assistant at the college level at Illinois State University during my graduate studies. I tutored students in Pre-Algebra and College Algebra. Also, I worked at my undergraduate college, State University of New York at Old Westbury, as a Math Lab Instructor. A Little Bit About Me...

I use a multifaceted approach to teaching. I engage my students through experiential learning, service learning, multimedia lecture, discussion, and demonstration. I work at drawing out my students in class by creating a comfortable secure learning environment. I am approachable and available to my students. I teach actively. I walk around the room, make eye contact with all students, and act out the activities of organisms and molecules. I frequently encourage questions from the students and typically get quite a few during a lecture from various students. I also teach interactively. I ask the students questions regularly during class.
