I just recently completed my first semester of teaching University 101 at the University of South Carolina. This course allowed me to find out how much I enjoy teaching. I like to be able to make a personal connection with the students and learn about their learning styles and much more. I feel like each person who is in a teaching capacity has the ability to motivate and help each child in the classroom. It is just up to each one of us to decide how much time and effort we are willing to put into each student. While attending Claflin University in the pursuit of obtaining duel BA's in the field of journalism and sociology, my off times was spent in the middle schools of Orangeburg, SC for nearly six years.
