I have been teaching chemistry for more than 10 years. I have profound knowledge of organic chemistry and organic reactions. I have also taught general chemistry and organic chemistry laboratory courses for undergraduate students. Currently, I am a fourth year PhD student in organic chemistry. I love tutor organic chemistry. I tutored two biology students taking organic chemistry in summer of 2012, and their grade were significantly improved after I tutored them.

Mathematically, I teach from a logical, or procedural approach. As students work their way up to Calculus and further, it is important to understand the process of problem-solving and not focus on the numbers alone. Many sciences can become abstract, I like to relate topics to things students may encounter everyday or already understand in order to get a foundation before complicating topics with smaller detail. I am very positive and try to push students as fast as they absorb the information. I feel it is hard to enjoy a subject if you do not understand it or see how it effects you. I like to get to know the students. People learn different ways and at different paces. I am able to adapt to their individual styles. I go slowly and explain things both verbally and visually if necessary.
When I was in high school, I was in a program where I tutored new students. They were students who were struggling with their grades, and I was able to help them.
