I have a Bachelors Degree in Geology anda Masters Degree in organic chemistry. I was a teaching assistant in graduate school for both general and organic chemistry. After graduate schooI I worked at Pfizer for 18 years as a chemist. In this position I was responsible for the design and synthesis of many novel compounds and read the chemistry literature extensively. My oldest is a national merit scholar finalist, and my youngest son is captain of his high school math team. Math is fun, like a puzzle-once the student sees this fact, they begin having more fun and less fear of the subject.
I am a patient teacher, and I use many different ways of communication. I try to find the style of learning best suited to my pupil. Removing the fear of the subject seems to be the most important part.
