I believe with the right supports all children can learn. I have tutored students with special needs. My goal is to help the child build on their strengths and believe they can improve on their weaknesses. My teaching style is to set objectives that challenge students and support them by building on what they already know. I am extremely patient and professional and well liked by my students.
With a degree in Special Education and a Masters in Education I have learned about how children learn best. I have a Florida Teacher's License for teaching ESE (Exceptional Students Education), Spanish, Elementary Education, and other subjects. I taught in the Ocala public school system. A Little Bit About Me...

For most of my professional career, I was a senior financial administrator in the non-profit sector. After receiving my Doctorate in 2002, I moved from an Administrative position to a Faculty position at the University of Massachusetts. For the past 8 years, I have worked as a professor of Accounting and Finance at a variety of universities and colleges. I feel that I bring a wealth of practical experience to the classroom and this helps me make classroom learning more relevant to my students. I am extremely flexible with my teaching style. I do not believe in the "one size fits all" approach that seems to be popular in text books and structured lesson plans. I believe it is important for a teacher to be able to shift gears mid lesson or adapt to each student as the need arises. Because I had to teach a wide range of ages in Prague, I had to change my style for almost every lesson I taught as I taught them. I believe ANY person can be taught given the proper tools.
