My comments on tutoring Elementary Phonics : I was a elementary special education teacher for 10 years. I helped my students in all subject areas to be successful and find their individual learning style.

I believe my patience and creativity allows children to feel comfortable with their own learning needs. I work with them and help them find their unique learning style. We then build on that style to build their confidence and ability. All children can learn once we find their unique learning "channel".
I have been a Special Education Teacher for 15 years and an administrator for 5 years. I have taught at both the elementary, intermediate and high school levels. I have worked with students who have been severely cognitively disabled and those that have had multiple attention and behavioral concerns. My comments on tutoring Elementary Phonics : I have worked with students in phonics during tutoring sessions and when teaching at school.

I enjoy using a hands-on approach when it suits the needs of my students. I enjoy playing games, showing short learning videos, singing songs, scaffolding strategies with my students.

A Little Bit About Me...

I was homeschooled for the majority of my education which enabled me to assit my younger brothers and sisters in their studies. I taught a few Science classes including botony and a study of birds and have tutored in highschool math as well. I played volleyball, took 3 years of piano, and was a member of Chior as well. I worked as a teachers aide in a preschool for 2 years. I worked with children from the age of 6 weeks to 5 years. I plan on going to college for either business or diognostic sonography.
I love working with kids of all ages. All children are unique and they all learn in different ways.
