My comments on tutoring Computer : I currently teach technology classes twice a week at a private school. I am very experienced at working with children on computer skills.

I believe my patience and creativity allows children to feel comfortable with their own learning needs. I work with them and help them find their unique learning style. We then build on that style to build their confidence and ability. All children can learn once we find their unique learning "channel".
I have been a Special Education Teacher for 15 years and an administrator for 5 years. I have taught at both the elementary, intermediate and high school levels. I have worked with students who have been severely cognitively disabled and those that have had multiple attention and behavioral concerns. I am very patient and have been able to create systems to provide structure to keep kids on track. I always want children to know what to expect and have a structure in which to be successful.

I was homeschooled for the majority of my education which enabled me to assit my younger brothers and sisters in their studies. I taught a few Science classes including botony and a study of birds and have tutored in highschool math as well. I played volleyball, took 3 years of piano, and was a member of Chior as well. I worked as a teachers aide in a preschool for 2 years. I worked with children from the age of 6 weeks to 5 years. I plan on going to college for either business or diognostic sonography.
I love working with kids of all ages. All children are unique and they all learn in different ways. A Little Bit About Me...

My experience and educational accomplishments enable me to be an effective teacher. This recent accomplishment gives me the ability to teach in an academic environment and also to apply my recent experience in test taking techniques. A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in May 2004, and then I taught long-term for a 5th grade teacher, and then taught 5th grade from 2005-2007 in Hartland. I find that demonstration though example is the first step to understanding. This allows for an initial exposure to the material and plants seeds of knowledge. Adjuvant to demonstration, motivation and enthusiasm to learn the material must be taught. All the homework in the world cannot replace this! Regrettably, students often struggle due to poor instruction or vague textbooks which erode a student’s motivation. Fortunately this can be overcome with a little outside assistance. My long term goal of teaching is to foster a mature understanding of the subject matter. To master a subject it must be learned from multiple angles before the bigger picture is illuminated.
