A Little Bit About Me...

I was homeschooled for the majority of my education which enabled me to assit my younger brothers and sisters in their studies. I taught a few Science classes including botony and a study of birds and have tutored in highschool math as well. I played volleyball, took 3 years of piano, and was a member of Chior as well. I worked as a teachers aide in a preschool for 2 years. I worked with children from the age of 6 weeks to 5 years. I plan on going to college for either business or diognostic sonography.
I love working with kids of all ages. All children are unique and they all learn in different ways. I believe its the teachers responsibllity to understand how their students learn best and then help communicate the curriculum to them in a way that they will best uderstand and retain that knowledge.

A Little Bit About Me...

My experience and educational accomplishments enable me to be an effective teacher. This recent accomplishment gives me the ability to teach in an academic environment and also to apply my recent experience in test taking techniques. I have been very active volunteering in the public schools. My children’s state testing scores are in the top 1% and 4% in the nation for reading and math. I tell my students to just tell me in their own words what they are trying to say. When they speak aloud, the words flow, and then I say, "There is your opening sentence right there. Quick! Write it down." At other times, I ask them to pretend that they are really someone else, an actor in a television show, for example, and I have them imagine that the character, not they themselves, are speaking.
