My comments on tutoring Sculpting: I am a certified (K-12) art educator and I have taught elementary school art for the past 15 years. Teaching art is my passion and I would love the opportunity to give private or group lessons.

I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2006 wiht a degree in Psychology. While attending USM I taught a combined class Of 3rd And 4th grades. for the past 16 years I have tutor Reading, Math, History, and basic science to children in my family and community. I also substitute teach for 3 school districts. I believe a child can learn any subject put before him/her. With the belief that a child can learn, it is my challenge to find out what style of learning best fits each child being tutored. When teaching I take the time to present materials one way, and if the student doesn't comprhend I will present it another way. My goal is to help each student meet his or her potential.

With a degree in elementary education, I have been successful teaching and tutoring young children. I am especially proficient in teaching reading and have learned several different approaches to evaluate and direct students in their learning. I'm also knowledgeable in math, history, art, science, and computers and familiar with a variety of curricula. I love working with children and helping them succeed. I enjoy getting to know the child as an individual in order to form a relationship with them that will allow me to identify their learning style and interests. I am very patient, kind, intelligent and loving and I have high expectations for my students.

My learning style is best related to maximizing cooperation between the child and the parent, child and the tutor, tutor and parent, and the sending agency sponsoring the tutor. Why should I learn this? - is an important question for everyone. What is the positive consequence for learning versus the negative consequence for not learning? Can learning be a rewarding experience? What are the many positive incentives for learning versus the many negative consequences for not learning? Can the tutor help the student answer these questions? Certainly. I am a certified teacher k-12 in visual arts and have been teaching for the last ten years. I have an AA -Aeronautics, BA-Graphic Design, M.Ed.Art and MDiv degree. I have been tasked with improving the reading and writing skills of my students 9th through 12th grade. The majority of children are left brain thinkers and need to be challen

I am still developing a teaching style. However, I know from personal experience that constructing knowledge requires much more than reading a textbook. All learners have unique learning styles that influence learning success. A student’s favored learning style is a valuable resource for a tutor, allowing the student to discover more about the world and themselves while simultaneously developing a joy for learning. I use informal assessments to instruct my instruction, and assist students to monitor their own learning progress. My strongest teaching tools are good listening skills, patience and perseverance, and a desire to find each student’s academic and creative strengths. I am a recent graduate of the University of South Alabama, College of Education. I returned to school to earn a teaching certificate in elementary education so that I might expand my career in environmental sc

I started tutoring math when I attended Faulkner State College. I then attended the University of South Alabama where I tutored math and physics. I have tutored all levels of math and also tutored not only physics, but lab activites as well. I have always been a quick learner when it comes to mathematics. It is something that comes almost natural to me. With that said, I understand that this is not the case for everyone. I feel that a good majority of people hate math because they don't understand math, and because they don't understand math right away, they don't try to understand it. I had a wise professor once tell me, "Math isn't difficult; there is no such thing as difficult math. It just seems difficult because you haven't learned it yet". I think math can be easy for anyone, they just have to learn it first.
