I have always enjoyed working with children of all ages. I taught dance for my high school years to younger children and I believe that has taught me a lot about teaching styles. I understand that not everyone learns at the same rate or in the same way. Students all have different styles of learning just as teachers have their different styles of teaching. Not only have I taught dance, but I also tutored through high school and thoroughly enjoyed it. I do believe ever child has that opportunity to learn if they are given the chance by a good teacher.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been substitute teaching for four years for all grades and all subjects. I have been tutoring in my home for two years all grades in mainly mathematics. I have trained students in cognitive thinking skills at Learning RX for 2 years. I have three children of my own, two in college and one is a senior in high school. I was a stay-at-home mom for 20 years and I have worked with my children in of all their subjects. I earned my AS in Mathematics in 2003 and my BS in Secondary Education in 2006.

I went to college at Iowa State University and finished at the University of South Dakota with a major in communication disorders and a minor in psychology. I have a strong training background. I have held jobs in which I was a manager, which required me to train staff. I also taught computer classes (Microsoft, Internet, Basic PC) at Western Iowa Tech for a few years.
