A Little Bit About Me...

Friendly and engaging. Focus is on comprehension of the material rather than just completing the homework.
While I was in high school, I took honors courses and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. I tutored an 8th grade-9th grade boy in TCAPS preparation and helped him complete homework in Math (pre-algebra, algebra, and pre-geometry), Science (biology), and English. I tutored him for two years. After I graduated high school I was accepted to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where I am currently in the spring semester of my sophomore year. I will be returning to Johnson City this summer and am available to tutor. I am a graduate of Appalachian State University's Early Childhood program. I gained experience through my undergraduate internships and practicums as a student. I have worked in conjunction with university faculty in a rigorous university lab program that models best practices for early learning and development. This program serves as a site for teacher training. I have experience working with children with special needs, as well as typically developing children ranging in age from 1-5.
