I have worked and volunteered to teach or tutor students in academic and physical training. I understand both the desire to learn and the resistance to it having three of my own sons. I have taught English in China, tutored Math for middle school students, Math, Chemistry, and Physics for high school and college, and programming for college level. Although I have been self employed for the last 6 years, I went back to school last year to add Science and Math for middle school to my certification. I passed the Praxis for both of those subjects spring of 2010. I was not able to get a full time teaching position this year. I went back to working for myself but would love to tutor. I have tutored for 3 years while I worked for Tryon Elementary school. I had great success with the students I worked with, in particular concerning math. I am very qualified to work in a tutoring capacity.
