I have also taught Sunday School classes off and on for the past 15 years for ages 1 year to 14 years old. I volunteer on a regular basis at my son's school, and have worked with the students primarily with Math and English.

I am a professional scientist and certified teacher in Mathematics and Physics, holding a Missouri State CPC certificate in both areas (valid for 99 years). I have been teaching Regular and College Physics classes at the high school level. Currently, I am teaching Physical and Earth Sciences, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry and Trigonometry. Through all of my work related experience, teaching has been the one thing that I loved and felt completely comfortable doing. I believe that every child can learn, but that they often need individual attention and a variety of strategies and techniques used in order to find the one that fits. A Little Bit About Me...

I can usually find a way to relate the material that the student is struggling with to something else that they understand. When they can make connections to more familiar things, then they can think themselves through problems more effectively. I usually achieve this by showing them how to do a problem, doing a problem or two with them, and then having them do problems on their own, only assisting when they need it.
I have always picked things up quickly, more quickly than my peers. My peers have often come to me to ask for my help in those areas.
