My first two years were devoted to an education degree. I gained experience in tutoring, including assisting elementary students and mentoring a group of advanced math students. I enjoy teaching mathematics and biology. If the student is willing to learn in some fashion I can help him or her. I tend to teach by examples for mathematics and for biology I teach in a lecture style, answering questions in-depth when necessary. In both fields I can give in-depth explanations for concepts. In high school I worked closely with non-English speakers. I tutored them in the subject of reading and writing English. I have also helped tutor in a a college setting. I helped tutor composition students with English being their second language.
I love teaching with children of all ages. Being from a background where English was hard to come by, I am very passionate in teaching/tutoring. My goal is to give the child a strong foundation of the English language.
