Learning is a process to enjoy not to suffer!

I have created a special but easy method to learn and teach Chinese and Japanese speaking languages. I have two years experience in teaching students in Tokyo, and proven to be very effective and efficient. I helped to student to master the complicated Chinese tone in just one lesson of 45 minutes. I helped to student to master the Japanese pronunciation system in two lessons. Language learning should not be a hard process, just image not matter who he/she is, he/she can speak his/her mother language well. I myself learned a second language and mastered it just in 14 months. I speak Chinese, English and Japanese. As a master of sciences, I was a fun of math; I can help the student out of learning it.

A Little Bit About Me...

I don't just teach, I inspire and motivate. I try to help all of my students finish my classes with a high level of enthusiasm.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in May 2005, from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. I have excellent communications skills, and a very strong teaching /and/ Computer background. I have a remarkable ability to inspire and work with others. Many of my students are from different countries, and struggle with the English language. I presently teach Poker dealers. I do not let this hinder them, or me. I simply teach them enough English to increase their confidence to complete my class. In return, most will send their relatives to my class, because they found that I communicate well with others, no matter what their background.

A Little Bit About Me...

I implemented and maintained custom code for a number of clients, and I performd lead programmer functions and mentor others. Every few months I conducted "lunch and learns" for programmers and analysts. During these sessions I would describe what code was doing in a particular module. This would help them with their implementations.
I like to first show a basic example of the problem, then show how the problem can be solved. I will then show another example that is a little more involved. After this, I let the person being mentored try solving a similar problem.

I love teaching! Nothing makes me happier than teaching a student a difficult problem. I am extremely patient, easy going, considerate and honest. My goal is to provide the best education at the adequate pace for the student. I love reinforcing concepts so that my students are able to conceptually understand what they are learning. I also relate problems with one another so that the student can understand the basis of what they've learned and why its important as well.

A Little Bit About Me...

My Rowan learning experience has allowed me to work with students from a variety of backgrounds and has exposed me to many different learning communities. I am very passionate about education. I enjoy working hard and helping students. Interaction between the students and the teacher is the most important factor to how a student learns, and I strongly believe that this can only be achieved through cooperative learning, hands-on/minds-on activities, and, when possible, Internet and technology.
I student taught 7th grade mathematics in William Rohrer Middle School in Westmont, NJ. They have has a very sociable community. A Little Bit About Me...

I have earned a BS in Civil Engineering which has given me a very strong background in Mathematics. Through my five years of experience working as a Civil Engineer, I have a very extensive understanding of the practical applications of mathematics. I have spent the last year substituting at the secondary level as a Math teacher, in addition to approx. 4 years of tutoring while I was a college student.
I like to use real world examples of how math concepts are applied to give the student a better understanding. I believe that a big reason many high school students struggle in understanding concepts of algebra, geometry, and calculus is that they are unable to visualize how it is applied to the real world. I think my background in engineering gives me a unique ability to convey how these concepts can be used in everyday life. Too often high school math students ask the question, ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

When working with students, if there's an easier way, I will inform them. This is how I keep their interest and gain their respect. Example: When working with geometry and coming across rt triangles, the first thing I would do is to be sure the triangles are labeled correctly. I will then give the students 2 major trigonometric formulas: a^2+b^2=c^2, and a/sin a = b/sin ß = c/sin ? (or just c, because the sin of a rt angle is 1). Later I will inform them of different ways to write the formulas. Another set of words I will say is “Break it down.”
When teaching I will get the class involved by keeping their interest. I will inform them of different procedures. After showing work on the board and giving the assignment, I will then walk around the room asking them to show me where they stand. If a certain questuion is asked, and I feel the class needs to be informed, I will get ... read more
