MENTORING THROUGH TEACHING LASTS FOREVER!!!

I have tutored in the Public Schools for many years while my children were young. As a young teen I even graded papers for teachers who were not associated with my school district. I enjoy teaching and get great satisfaction from the success when a student gets it! I home schooled my middle child when she became too ill to attend school on a regular basis. My method for her taught her to be very responsible. Upon graduation she had better self confidence and had a 4.0 in college and successfully completed her degree. I expect that after her child is older she will return to further her education.

A Little Bit About Me...

The children I nannied were in Elementary school and were sent home with homework almost daily. I found the two girls had their individual weaknesses and I believe that I helped them through the tough questions. I would give them hints or different approaches in solving problems until they were able to solve all of the problems on their own. Boosting their self confidence made a difference in their excitement to do homework.

As a college student in both my undergrad and now at the masters level, I have been able to focus in on my study skills particularly in the sciences. Over the years I have been a head coach at the JV level and been a camp counselor for a number of summer camps. In my professional career I was a personal trainer and an exercise specialist.
