A Little Bit About Me...

As an undergrad, I excelled in the arts, history and social science courses. However, I lacked interest in math (I didn't get it) and failed college algebra two times! My goal was to graduate college and I decided to seek help. I came across the tutoring center on campus and found a tutor that changed my perception about math! In brief, my tutor was out going, patient and tried various techniques to help me learn the material. I passed college algebra with an "A"! I believe in working aside the individual, explain a task to them, and let them do the work. I would offer assistance when asked or when I saw a problem. This would always depend on the individual that I was training. I have also worked as a Junior Achievement instructor which required even closer scrutiny with the student and a greater level of patience.

Currently, I own my own Health Insurance Agency in Tehachapi. I am an Administrative/Management Professional with 20 years experience. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Health Care Administration with a GPA of 3.46. My 11-year old daughter is a straight A student because I worked with her at an early age with studies that were at least 1 - 2 years beyond her current year. I knew she had the intellectual capacity to learn these, and it has paid off for her every year of school.
