Over the past 4 years, I've worked at the Colton Community services recreatioon depatrment. As an employee I've worked in Drop-In Recreation, in which I provide my assistance in helping the children do homework and tutor them as they needed. fot the past year and a half, we've started a new program called Homework help, which is to focus more on helping the students one on one with homwwork, reading, math, projects, etc. I am currently working on getting my AA in Child Devolpment to continue my drive to become a teacher. As a UCR graduate, I have been devoted to acquiring and developing my skills acquired during school. I earned a BA degree in Political Science which has enabled me to gain experience in the way the government works, and also further developed my writing, reading and analytical skills. With my family owning group homes for troubled boys aged 7-17 there were countless times that I volunteered to tutor the kids who were having trouble in school.
