My college studies have been in a variety of fields with the most concentration in the arts and social sciences. At the University Center for Developmental Disabilities I have gained one-on-one experience with children with autism and have learned and employed several techniques used in the Operant Conditioning model. As a Teacher Assistant, I have the responsibilities of setting goals, creating objectives for weekly sessions, and tracking and recording weekly progress. Over the past 4 years, I've worked at the Colton Community services recreatioon depatrment. As an employee I've worked in Drop-In Recreation, in which I provide my assistance in helping the children do homework and tutor them as they needed. fot the past year and a half, we've started a new program called Homework help, which is to focus more on helping the students one on one with homwwork, reading, math, projects, etc. I am currently working on getting my AA in Child Devolpment to continue my drive to become a teacher. As a UCR graduate, I have been devoted to acquiring and developing my skills acquired during school. I earned a BA degree in Political Science which has enabled me to gain experience in the way the government works, and also further developed my writing, reading and analytical skills.
