Solidworks Tutor/Freelance Product Designer/Rapid Modeler

Currenntly I am a 3D Modeling/Prototyping Consultant with the leading manufacturer of additive manufacting hardware. 5 years experience I specialize in product design using Solidworks, 3D CAD Software. I am an expert in the use of the ProJet Line of 3D modeling systems. I have a strong basic knowledge of STL file fixing software and a working knowledge of various prototype model building techniques for industry. My comments on tutoring Aerospace Engineering : I have had 26 year experiences in airplane structural design, analysis and repair.

First, I have had 26 year experiences in aircraft (i.e. C-17, 787 & Delta IV rocket) structural design, analysis and repair. Due to lack of new order for C-17 transport airplanes, I was laid off by Boeing on 5-2-2014. I have been eligible for social security benefits since October 2014. However, I am in such a good shape to be able to play tennis games. I would like to work for 5 more years minimum to contribute my engineering knowledge and enrich my personal life. I am looking forward to working as a mechanical engineering tutor.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is highly interactive and somewhat Socratic in that I will ask a number of questions to the student before giving an answer. In doing so, I can diagnose what information the student knows and find out where they may be lacking. Additionally I try to communicate with the student in a language they understand. If the student is a visual learner I would try to show examples whereas a student that is more auditory, I would spend more time talking and using stories to communicate information. The combination of these techniques have been quite successful for me over the past many years.

I have earned two degrees, a bachelors degree in Business and Masters in Business and Information Technology which has provided me with outstanding experience and understanding in the math, reading comprehension areas. I have always excelled in science as well because the subject has always been a joy of learning for me. My experience at the community college and public school classroom includes a wide range of diverse teaching experiences from high achieving Japanese to Hispanic low performing students seventh graders I have excelled at teaching all levels of ethnically, academically and physically diverse students. The procedure I follow in tutoring is to first attack is to find out where any understanding difficulty lies. Then, I write the rules out. Next I work 2-3 problems applying the rules as we proceed step by step. Under my tutledge, I have the student work 2-3 problems on their own. My teaching style is totally interactive. I plan each lesson before initiating it with the student. I first inform the student what will be covered in the lesson, and then question him or her to determine background knowledge and capability. At each step of the lesson, after presenting the material, I ask the student questions to determine the resultant level of understanding, and after the lesson is completed, I give a test to document the results. I keep a diary of the interactions for myself and other teachers for the future.
