A Little Bit About Me...

As one of only 60 graduates in the Biochemistry&Molecular Biophysics program, I have extensive training in mathematics, physical/organic chemistry, and biophysics. My double major in Molecular&Cellular Biology couples biological systems and human physiology with the "harder" physical/chemical sciences. With over 5 years experience as a Medical Dosimetrist, I have only recently turned to more creative pursuits. I'm currently a freelance writer, composing print copy, articles, reports, web content, and e books. Most of my direct tutoring experience has been through college(I led many study groups), and through work (training med students), but I have also assisted my son and his friends throughout his (now 6th grade) scholastic career.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have recently have earned a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics in DEC 2009. I have helped and still currently tutor my younger brother through his calculus courses. I work very well in teaching and working with others. I have taught martial arts self defense and discipline for over 10 years in Wind Fist Kung Fu as an instructor. I am very ambitious and I look forward to tutoring students in the subjects of pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, calculus II, and physics. Although I have graduated, I still see myself as a student still learning. I take that with me when I teach fellow students. I try to make it an experience where we are all learning something together. This prevents me from just telling someone what to learn, instead it shows someone how to learn. During my years in high school I struggled. At one point my GPA fell below a 2.0. I learned how to bounce back by improving study habits and hard work and ended up graduating college with biology degree with a 4.0 GPA. I share this because I can relate to the struggles of school and I have the tools to help overcome that struggle. I want to share these tools with others. Anyone can be successful in school and I am an example of that.
