I am currently working with the Lee County School district as reading tutor. I tutor elementary and middle school. Prior to this I taught freshmen orientation (freshmen skills) to freshmen with the City University Of New York (CUNY) at Hostos Community College. as a professor I have assisted my students with writing skills. In addition I was in charge of the probation students and have assisted them with their poor writing skills. I was a Mentor and helped my mentees with English deficiencies. Although I was not employed as a tutor, as a student advocate, I have always "tutored" students who needed this assistance to remain in good academic standing. I have taught for 20+ years in Germany (mainly Math, English and Reading) and for 4 years in Kansas City, MO. There I taught all core subjects: Math, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies. Right now I have got several part time jobs: I work as a sub at a colligiate high school (all subjects), I will teach German at the Edison College in Fort Myers (Continuing Education) and I tutor for a private company doing SES tutoring - Reading and Math.
