A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style can best be described as varied! I believe that children learn in numerous ways, so as an educator it is my responsibility to provide multiple experiences - visual, oral, tactile, etc. A person walking by my classroom would see children smiling, working in groups, accomplishing projects, and would hear noise.
After graduating from Vanderbilt University I taught 5th grade for 2 years while working on my Master's at TSU. I then moved to the Knoxville area and taught K until my son was born in 2000. We then moved to Wisconsin where I taught in various after school programs until my 2 children were old enough for preschool. I then went back part time and taught 4 K until my 3rd child was born in 2005. Throughout this entire time I tutored various children ages 8 - 15 years if age.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have a very relaxed teaching style when teaching my children at home during their homeschool, but they know if they don't do their work, they won't get far in life, and so far, of my eight children, there are four that are out of homeschool and have moved on to advanced education. The two oldest have their master's degrees from college and the third oldest is a senior in college on the dean's list and on the tennis team with a tennis scholarship.
