I have been an elementary and middle school teacher for over 20 years in public and private schools.I have taught many summer sessions in art and science and Hawaiian nature study.Students really enjoy learning with me and they improve their skills greatly as well as their outlook on learning and how much fun it can be. I always been a teacher who encourages hands-on learning. In math especially it is important to use manipulatives to see concepts from a different viewpoint. In the classroom I typically integrated varied learning styles and subjects to keep learning fun and achieve better comprehension. I am an informal teacher because I do not yet have the experience teaching in a formal setting accept for writing lesson plans for language arts. Otherwise, I am looking forward to working with adults and children on their studies because they need the help. I have experience in being a student in both business, math, science and language arts. I hired tutors for my children and I tutored my children but I have not begun to tudor myself.
